Herbert B. Hanes Scholarship Program

The 2006 Coach Herb Hanes Scholarship Award was presented in the amount of $2500.00 to Stephen Daniel Evans. Daniel is the son of Donna and Bruce Evans and is a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School where he served on the Math Team, played baseball, football ( Captain), and named "Mr Vestavia", "Best All Around", and " Who's Who" by his fellow students. His GPA is 4.45, ACT and SAT scores are 31 and 1420 respectively. He is also a 2006 Bryant-Jordan Scholarship Regional Winner. Daniel will attend Auburn University.

Thanks to Coach Bill Sparks and all of the volunteers that worked at the Regions Charity Classic presented by Bruno’s Supermarkets (Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge) golf tournament from May 3 to May 7, 2006.
